This is a vertical panoramic shot of the engine room of the Ghiannis D at Abu Nuhas in Egypt. I was trying around with different angles on panoramic shots inside this wreck and the vertical was the best to show the huge chimney looking area.
Judge's comment: It was the colours of this image which drew me to it in the very first round of judging. It's moody, forboding with just a hint of blue water at the top of the frame. The eye of the viewer is pulled into this composition, traveling up and down, over and over again. The mute yellow, blues and greens within the colour palate are superb.
