I have spent many years photographing coral reefs. And I have seen it takes a long time for coral to grow large. I wanted to capture the layers of coral grown over many years in monochrome, expressing their mystery beyond the timeline.
Judge's comment: A great capture and the perfect image to convert into black and white ! I love this kind of artistic images which don't have a subject but are outstanding in composition and absolutely timeless. Very well done, I love this!
