'Diamond Squid defensive pose'

My guide found this small diamond squid at the very beginning of a blackwater dive at about 7 meters. This is one of the many poses it presented us over the next several minutes, it seemed almost playful, like it was showing off different costumes, swimming casually for a bit then stopping for another set of photos while even allowing me to time review some images and adjust my exposures and strobes.
Judge's comment: Beautiful capture of this nice little creature and perfect example that a macro image also works without having the eyes in clear sight. Excellent lighting and well judged post production! Well done!
